Get ready for a tram ride up the mountain to get to the ski area. The ski resort is on the top of the mountain. I am not a fan of trams but this one wasn't bad. Great views from up there. There is a...More

Absolutely amazing for ski. Best place for lunch is definitely bar Vitelli. They make A great salsiccia sandwich. Marcus is really nice.

Even though there has been a distinct lack of snow, all the main runs were open and fantastic to ski. We had no hesitation coming back to Cortina to ski as we were confidant the organisers would have ensured the slopes would be open even...More

Skiing Tofana is real challenge so it is not for beginners. There is also tourist gondola all the way to the top for non skiers as well.

We love skiing at Faloria and Cristallo. There is free parking and you can easily go from one area to the other.

These are amongst the best and classic areas where to ski in Cortina. For skiing starters, the Tondi in Faloria and Mietres are the best places. Both Cristallo and Faloria offer pistes for all skiing levels, including red runs and black runs for top skiing...More

I am so confused about how the ski resorts in Cortina works ... Please help! :-) We leave for Cortina in a few short weeks. Staying in a condo in the heart of Cortina d'Ampezzo to go skiing. I've received restaurant recommendations and ski schools (for kids) however ... I just can't get a handle on how the area works / is set-up. e.g.: is the area one big ski resort? Or, is it made up of multiple ski resorts? Can you buy one ski pass to get everywhere or multiple ski passes for each resort? Is there one resort better than another? We have two young kids whom we will put into ski school yet it's not clear which resort they will be going to. The two recommendations: Scuola Sci Cortina and Scuola Sci Azzurra. Is one better than the other? I need help! :-) Please enlighten me on how it's all set-up! THANK YOU!
