Frequent, quiet and efficient and just around the back of my hotel. This cable car gives you a head start up the mountain if you're walking to the Rifugio Pralongia (where you can get an excellent hot chocolate while looking at the breathtaking views!). The cable car was about €10 for a two-way trip this year.

Well positioned cable car that gets you up to a great area for walking in the summer. Once you get to the top there are a variety of paths you can follow - we did a six mile round trip to Pralongia, stopping at the hut there halfway for refreshments. You get some stunning views when you’re at the top - well worth the short ride up. It was €11.40 to go up and down when I used it.

This cableway is important for reaching central part of Alta Badia from Corvara. It has not the central position as Boe. In high season lines there are not as long as on some more popular parts of Corvara or Arabba. It was not working on February 27; they turned it of later than some other cablecars.

The cable car takes you from the south east corner of Corvara up onto the plateau. In the winter it's a major transport link for skiers. In summer walkers can use it to get up high to start their treks. I believe it's closed at some time between winter and summer. The Col Alto Refuge at the top has a bar, restaurant and superb views. Again, I don't believe it's open all year so best to check. Like most cable cars/gondolas, there's no heating or air con, so it can be cold in winter and hot in summer - dress accordingly!

The lift leads to a lovely area of skiing, but is quite a slog up hill from the place where the shuttle bus dropped us. Consequently we tended to use the lifts from the Boe area

This is one of the main places to start going up the hill. One small problem are the staff who is selling the ski passes, some don't speak italian well and some other staff can answer basic questions. Other small problem was that our little boy who is 5 years old had to show his documents every day over and over to get a free pass, in other countries this is done by a computer.
The staff by the entry to the boots are excellent always ready to help and always have a smile ready.

This lift will be 70 year old this year! Right in the village and never a queue! Fabulous view towards Corvara, Passo Gardena and Sella!
