The Treasure Room in Palazzo di Lodovico II Moro is contained within the Archaeological museum: when you enter the Archaeological museum it’s the building across and to the right of the entrance. It's about a 20 minute walk from the city center; better by bike....More

The courtyard and garden are treats, but the overwhelming jewel is the series of frescoes in the ceiling of the Treasure Room. Vibrant, living, enigmatic.

The Etruscan pottery comes from the excavation in Spina, near Ferrara. The Palace is beautiful. It was totally empty when I went, I was the only visitor. It was amazing to walk through the rooms completely undisturbed.
