The gardens of this house are amazing and extensive - wear comfortable shoes as the ground is quite rough in places. Allow quite a bit of time to explore (about 2 hours) plus more time for the house. The house is very odd but interesting...More

This was amazing! We found this informative beautiful and the guide was funny, intelligent and conveyed his own interest and commitment to D’Annuzio. The house has so much to see and to learn about the owner. One of our favourite activities on Lake Garda!

Very strange place, at least for a non-italian. A truly huge monument erected by a poet and pilot, who got decorated by Mr Mussolini himself. This must be one of the few places in the world where you can see half a warship stranded on...More

Remodeled from the original monastery by Gabriel D'Annunzio, this is an amazing creation and he was certainly unique. The interior is visited by guided tour and you get a real feel for just how bizarre he was. More idiosyncrasies and superstitions than you can count....More

We visited the villa, but unfortunately didn’t have time to walk around the gardens. If you want to do both give yourself half a day. The English guide around the villa was excellent and had a good sense of humour. Well worth a visit as...More

The garden area is truly amazing, we spent a couple of hours here, from statues, waterfalls to 1/2 a WW1 ship in the garden, so quirky and interesting, some areas are quite steep with steps, would definitely recommend a visit here

This estate is quite something! Gabriel D'Annunzio was quite a character, so please take the time to watch the video in the museum. It sheds some light on Gabriel, and covers some Italian history. The grounds are lovely, many and varied gardens, sculptures, and displays....More

The house will be fine in wet weather but the garden will not be. The garden is very steep and I think the paths would be quite dangerous in wet weather as they could be slippery. We don’t use the little train but it went... More
