We visited the villa, but unfortunately didn’t have time to walk around the gardens. If you want to do both give yourself half a day. The English guide around the villa was excellent and had a good sense of humour. Well worth a visit as...More

The garden area is truly amazing, we spent a couple of hours here, from statues, waterfalls to 1/2 a WW1 ship in the garden, so quirky and interesting, some areas are quite steep with steps, would definitely recommend a visit here

That said this place is also stunningly unique. The introductory video in the museum is quite long, but...More

Totally fascinated by this man Gabriele D’Annunzio....what a remarkable life. His home and gardens are totally wacky! So much to learn but sadly the English speaking house tour wasn’t available for us yesterday as it was after 6 in the evening. But his eccentricity shines...More

Dear Mark I’m assuming you are actually in Garda, in the eastern side of Lake Garda. You will need to get the ferry over to Salo and then drive, or take the bus north to Gardone Riviera, which is only about 10 mins from... More
