The park was nice - while we were there there was supposed to be a music, food and arts kind of festival but there were just some empty tents so we may have misunderstood the times. Our reason for being there was not to see the park but to visit the castle and the National Museum of Abruzzo, but unfortunately that is closed indefinitely after the 2009 earthquake.

It gives the impression of a new playground, the children had a lot of fun, well maintained and fenced. An unexpected stop which turned out to be very pleasant. Parking is not very easy

The castle park is a large green area that surrounds the imposing Spanish Fort and is adjacent to the historic center.
In the park there are many trees, numerous benches, games for children and, while walking, you can admire views of the mountains.
The castle is currently under renovation and cannot be visited inside.
Only one room is open where the skeleton of a Mammoth dating back to 1,300,000 years ago is kept.

a park in a very town center; total lack of maintenance: dirty, broken elements; surrounding an important castle
