This church was built between 1591 and 1639 to dedicate the city of Lecce's patron saint. Above the statue is the citys emblem, a She wolf and an acorn.

The church has been built about four centuries ago and without anything spectacular represents an early broque archtectonic style. It is dedicated to the patron saint of the city.

It is in central Lecce and has the symbol of the wolf over the door. It is a beautiful church in a town full of beautiful churches. English tours are available.

It is a chararch of Teatinian Order with abbay in Barocco Luccese style. Infortunately taking pictures inside is prohibited.
