Not many visitors stop and visit the cripta underneath the Cathedral. It is a pity to miss as it is a relaxing place. 92 columns will welcome you. There is a nominal entry fee and unfortunately opening times are quite short.
It costs 1€ to enter, but as entry to the Cathedral is free this simply acts as a deterrent to the crowds so is an advantage. Make sure that you time it so as to enter when empty as possible. An overwhelming feeling of peace
