We rented a boat and this town was on the map of one of the MUST visit towns. It is an old beautiful fishing village on the water with shops, restaurants and a beach.

Marina del Cantone is where the locals go, but it is as beautiful and glamorous as any other place in Italy. The water is stunning, you can take water taxis to a bunch of other spots, all the restaurants are excellent, and the atmosphere is...More

Good beach reached down a very winding road. Best parking is a couple of minutes up the hill with a shuttle bus down to the Marina. We hired a boat on our third visit from one of the rental companies and explored the Positano coast

Beautiful bay but very expensive to eat anywhere. Beach a little crowded but it was August. Sorrento easy to reach by bus...purchase tickets first from shop. Only took 45mins and cheap....Easy Way to visit Pompeii is to get bus to Sorrento and train to Pompei....More

Typical Sorrento beach - rocky, lounge chairs and umbrellas close to each other, down a steep and winding road -- but a refreshing few hours.

This is a busy little spot but seemingly much less busy than elsewhere on the coast! Not many tourists here - mainly locals. We parked just before the town in a parking area that was 2 euro an hour. On a U-bend coming into town....More

Lots of people -- Italians on weekend, tourists mid-week. Rocky beach, at least 2 good restaurants & a fun patio/tavern. Enjoyable mayhem.

Don't waste time and give yourself a headache trying to go to Positano or Amalfi beaches, this beach is clean, cozy and not crowded even in July. Go see the town's listed above and then spend the afternoon eating fresh fruit and sipping Prosecco at...More

It is a great spot to spend the day as the sea is so clear and nice to be and you have great gastronomy to get early and dont have to leave the beach for lunch. Had an awesome time with my wife, cousin and...More

We had driven to Maria del Cantone a couple of years ago while on a visit to the area - we really enjoyed it, so much less built up than other places on the Amalfi coast, but we remembered that parking was tight, the beach...More

It is not a very long beach and like the majority of Italian beaches it is made up of small rocks so bring flip flops or swimming socks. It will take about 15 minutes to walk across the beach.
