We rode the funicular up for 7 Euro. Had a drink in the main square and walked around . Just stayed an hour as there is not too much to see.

Travelled up to Montecatini Alto on the funicular. The views are fantastic but the buildings around are really interesting. If you do go don’t just stay in the square. Have a wander and look around, it’s great

Went on the funicula (built 1898) first at night and had a meal in the square. We then went up during the day and wander around the streets and saw the churches. Ended up in the square doe a great lunch and drinks with friends

Beautiful medieval town, good restaurants. Nice architecture, use the funicular to get there. Fantastic views of the panorama of the valley below. We'll worth a look, a pleasant relaxing afternoon in beautiful surroundings.

I would say no we had one which was nice as we were able to get around easier. The town itself is fairly small and there are 2 train stations in town.

Hotel Da Vinci I suggest. Very well located with good staff and food. Professional price performance. Walking distance from the center and bath....also funicular easy to reach.
