The place is only of real interest if you have an interested in archaeology. The remains of the Roman town are located on top of a hill, very close to the sea. The most outstanding remains are the city walls and the main temples (capitol)....More

The site needs more maintenance and more information to support the visit but it'worth the trip if you are in this area. There is a beatiful 360 view on Argentario, Giannutri, Feniglia, Orbetello, Burano.

Fascinating history. Was it only Roman or Etruscan before? There is a wonderful view from up here over the sea to Monte Argentario.

Great location and nice walk, pity you have the feeling (true) that aare walking around an abandonned site......Museum so so. Finally there are road signs - in Ansedonia - to find the place.

We got there kind of late so we only really got to visit the museum, but it was very interesting in giving us the history of the area and a sense of the culture of its time. Great archeological excavations in the museum with descriptions...More

I have to say that I wish I could review this place but after driving around for ages and not finding any signs, we gave up and went elsewhere. A shame, as it had been recommended.
