Our last stop in the Dolomites was Seceda and I guess we certainly saved the best for last. Parking is available next to the gondola entrance aka Funivie Seceda in Ortesei. We also grabbed a bite to eat before heading up top and there are...More

Armed with our 3 day Gardena cards (great value if you will use multiple lifts), we dedicated the better part of a day for this hike while based in Ortisei. We were rewarded with one of our most memorable walking/hiking experiences in the Val Gardena....More

I am not commenting on the potential for hiking or biking (though no bikes are allowed on this cablecar), but the view and the ambiance at the top. For those visiting for the first time, know that there are three small towns in Val Gardena,...More

At Ortesei bus stop we were wondering which side to go to for the Seceda, when a young smart school boy came and directed us. An easy walk across through an escalator / travellator in a short tunnel. The views were really amazing. There are...More

We parked in the parking garage in Ortesie for a small fee and took the gondola up the two runs. It drops you off nearly at the top of Seceda. We spent a few hours just wandering all the different paths and Refugios. Just incredible.

Leave from Ortisei - take the gondola up - it is just fantastic. Views are absolutely amazing. Trails are well marked. Will match any photo you have seen

I tore ACL when I was trying to get on to chair lift my children. I shouted the operator to stop the lift, but they did not. The operators need to have through security training, they are so unprofessional. Never again.

Seceda has the most beautiful landscape views I’ve ever been to. We travelled to the top by cable car on the last day it operates in 2017. I had expected the mountains with bright sky and green grass, from looking at photos on the internet....More

We sat for hours just staring over the cliffs and looking at the surrounding mountains. The lift takes you right to the peak, and to the best view. Absolutely amazing. Don’t miss this- best view of the Dolomites you can get. And probably the most...More
