The hike from Ortisei towards the Church of San Giacomo is not a simple one, it takes some condition to walk this path. But the church is worth every step you take. Can highly recommend to visit.

We left off from Ortisei center and it took us about an hour. The walk was pleasant for the first part but the last became quite steep. The view though is breathtaking.

This beautiful old church is set amongst the woods on the side of the valley, with views towards the mountains. Approach along the well-maintained footpath from Santa Cristina, along which boards tell the story of San Giacomo, with illustrations by local schoolchildren.
