This is a beautiful palazzo and a lovely square that is used by the locals, as well as by buskers. Nice to sit in a bar/cafe and enjoy the view of the palazzo.

The local market assembles in the piazza on Thursday and Saturdays. Lots of fresh fruits and vegetable. Meat and cheese trucks and flea market finds. We didn't go inside but the outside architecture was nice but nothing spectacular.

Just sitting in the Piazza and watching the people go by, hopefully with a nice warm coffee latte, is something you must do.

I don't understand why this rates so high with TA reviewers. There is little to see. I stayed for 3 days in a B&B that overlooked Palazzo del Popolo next to Palazzo del Capitano del Popolo and I can tell you, it's an OK building...More
