This 14th century baptistry is worth a quick visit, it is free, there is little or no wait. For centuries most of the citizens of Florence were baptized here in this impressive building.

This Gothic baptistry was built in 14th Century with design by Andrea Pisano. It is octagonal and dressed in bands of alternative white and grey marble and is crowned with elegant blind arcades.
