I made a big mistake planning my day trip from Florence to Lucca & Pistoia. I stopped in Pistoia first, and I knew it was market day (Wednesday). Why was it a mistake? There were great deals on clothes, purses, and a lot of other...More

We went to Pistoia for one morning on our way to Lucca. I found the piazza nothing special. But the city center of Pistoia is definitely worth visiting and strolling around!! A lot more quite as there are not too many tourist.

We thought the outside was similar to Sienna's church but not quite as spectacular. The inside had many wonderful pieces of work that are worth seeing. There seems to be no one to control what happens inside as children were playing in the holy water...More

This town was a delight with streets filled with locals and their everyday life. Not as touristy as some of the bigger towns and full of some amazing churches

Pistoia has a classic Tuscan town square. The Medicis conquered the town, and the architecture shows the influence. This piazza is large and impressive -- not Florence but impressive nonetheless.

This place is good to walk around... The que for the Dumo was very long of your concidering going Inside... Resturants can vary in price around there... Some are expensive taking advantage of tourist and some are prices great....

The piazza is not too interesting, but is a focal point of the city. I recommend visiting the Duomo, the Baptistery and the Campanile.

Was here for the Giostra Del Orso, which is well worth coming to if you’re here on 25 July. It’s a fantastic and engaging event. Even without the jousting, the piazza is a pleasant place to spend some time.

It was lovely way to people watch. Find a restaurant in the central and enjoy the view and people watching. It was lovely way to people watch. Find a restaurant in the central and enjoy the view and people watching.

Of course very touristic, but the views on the square are incredible. Highly recommend climbing the duomo. Make sure to book online way in advance to skip the +3 hours line, since they work with time slots allowing a limited amount of people each 30...More

We spent a quiet afternoon strolling through the ancient town of Pistoia. Extremely well preserved ancient building without the crowds of Florence. If you need to unwind from the hectic hustle and bustle of the big name sights this is a lovely place to sit...More
