Beautiful island with few tourists and people enjoying the Italian island life. Quiet and unrefined but marvelous. A few nice restaurants and scuba nearby.

Our yacht made a stop here for the day. It is a quaint village, yet apparently it closes up after the summer. We couldn't even find a place to get a drink, lunch, or gelato. The owner at the gelato store said to come back next summer. We walked the streets and appreciated the beauty, but there was nothing else... More

Our cruise boat made a call on Ponza Island. Interested passengers were tendered ashore. Since we only had a couple of hours, we simply walked around the town. It is very picturesque - literally. In the two hours we were there I took 150 pictures. While the town was clearly set up for tourists, there were none of the really... More

I had a refreashing stay in Ponza. The Island is very easy to access from Rome (an 1 hour of train & 1 hour of boat). The beaches are very pleasant & accessible with a public bus for 1 Euro from the central port. The food is of course amazing like in the rest of Italy. Landscape absolutely unbelievable.

We visited Ponza with two families with children ranging from 3.5 to 12. The island is absolutely beautiful and we enjoyed the views and the wonderful seafood found in all the restaurants. Our hotel (Grand Hotel Chiaia de la Luna) was wonderful. However, we were a little disappointed about how difficult it was to find a beach that was not... More

We arrived in the morning with Laziomar ferry boat from Anzio port. When there we were very disappointed. We thought it would be another small jewel in italy but it actually is a neglected small island which had its peak back in the years and now the mayor doesn't care to clean up or renovate for future tourism. There is... More

We hesitate in sharing our review of Ponza as we want to keep this jewel to ourselves. This is a bucket list destination for any world traveler and a genuine taste of Italy. From the charm, the crystal clear waters, the epic views, the sea food, the people... second to none. The II Tramonto restaurant has 5 star food, service,... More

This is the most beautiful Island in Italy. Most of the tourists are actual Italian nationals on vacations, so it's less crowded with foreign visitors which is so nice. It takes a little time to get there from Rome but well worth it. We used Eco Segway Tours via Viator.com and our guide Kimberly was excellent, also gave us Excellent... More
