worth the long long walk!

This beach is super nice, mostly because of all the buildings in the cliff and the restaurants and cafe along the small shore. It can get really crowded in summer but I guess is... read more

So we live in southern California so there are lots of beaches with nice sand, big waves, and they are easy to visit with plenty of parking. The Positano beach is picturesque but it is a royal pain to get there (walking down and up steep hills or taking a tram, after finding a way to get to Positano) and... More

Positano is in the southern Italy, there is a beautiful coastline. It is very different if you compare to other city in Italy. There are just a few people, they live on the mountain and near the sea. This is like a dream place, beach and sunshine. This place is isolated to the world, although there are many tourists in... More

We are a well travelled family. Two sons living in Europe, German friend , and us oldies who have travelled a lot. Always had Positano on our bucket list and it is very beautiful. quite stunning. But as an Australian, the beach ? Granted it is Nov and not swimming area. Love where Positano is , but dont get too... More

The beach is rocky, but the water is clear and inviting. We took an hour out of touring to swim at the town beach. The beach was crowded as many European beaches are, but few people were in the water. There are changing rooms and a shower to wash the salt water off. It was delightful to swim in the... More

This beach is not white sand, and yet, it has its own charm. Nice to get seated in a chaise after spending the day walking in the streets of Positano.

If Positano had a heart, the main beach would be it. During the day, the swimming can get crowded, but day or evening, the dining and strolling is as good as it gets if you like to be in the beating life of Positano. Come for the views, stroll along the full length at the back of the beach, stop... More

I guess if you're in town for a few days it might be an appealing activity- but not on day tour. It is mall, the "sand" not very appealing. Ok to look at from afar but not much more.
