It takes 10 minutes for everybody to get into the wooden barge and taken for a two minute ride around the one room and 8 minutes for people to get out. That’s it. Complete rubbish. Don’t waste your time. Stop to take a beautiful picture...More

We wanted to take it easy. It was great to see this small but interesting place. The staff do all possible to make it attractive despite being very small. Must see if you are around. Only 5 eur. It is ok. We were offer a...More

It was an interesting cave with pretty colors, but the cave is pretty small and the row boats are pretty big. It felt a little too commercialized, almost like "Its a Small World" ride at Disney. But, our captain was very entertaining. For us it...More

5 euros gets you a 10-15 minute boat ride, rowing in circles around a small grotto, while the 'captain' sings O Sole Mio, but if there are Americans, on board, he does Elvis' version of It's Now or Never. The water is clear and there...More

Bought tickets to go to the Grotta dello Smeraldo. The ride to it was beautiful and the views were excellent. We went into the Grotto and were put on a small row boat that was quite tight and not too steady. As we were rowed...More

Terrible idea to visit. Waste of time and money. There are only few square inches of some greenish light, near the exterior wall. Otherwise the inside boat “captains” asked for tips twice within the 3 mins visit.

Amalfi Battiglieri esmeralda grotto tour, captain said goodbye by calling my girlfriend a b*tch and then pretended he didn't know english afterward. Avoid at all costs. The tour is extortion. You will be sold a ticket for a boat ride to see the grotto. Then...More

This is about half way between Positano and Amalfi. It is not very deep but has some attractive rock formations and a blue sector where there is access underwater form the sea. The added "attraction" are boatmen who like singing Neapolitan songs for an extra...More

We were offered this as a stop during a boat excursion and said sure. You are crowded onto little row boats with a guide who mocks your nationality and tells you up front he wants a tip. The real joke is that the row boat...More

I don't believe there is a storage for luggage at the Emerald Grotto. It is very small and we left our luggage on the bus.
