We happened upon the Chiesa di San Giovanni del Toro and spent quite some time there... Like many historical treasures in Italy, the church is in need of an injection of restoration funding, and perhaps some extra money to restore the organ! The pulpit is wonderful and there are signs of a kind of souterrain, or perhaps an earlier church... More

You must visit Ravello if you have the chance and look at the views from the terrace. We popped up on the local bus from Amalfi and it only cost us €1.40 each. Brilliant but beware it can get very busy.

Everything about Ravello seems so pretty that it is much better to spend time here than near neighbour Amalphi . Amazing views , winding paths what more could you ask for - worth the winding bus ride up the very steep hill from Amalphi

We took the bus ride from Amalfi to Ravello, a spectacular ride with narrow hairpin turns climbing the mountain to the town of Ravello. The narrow, ancient streets feature shops with clothing, linens, ceramics, lemoncello, and jewelry, mostly of finer quality than Amalfi.
