A jazz club with funky art and arched stone ceilings in a medieval hilltop village that's open in the afternoon, local artists from all over Europe, a bohemian commune of folks from the 70s who fed and entertained us, but wouldn't call their place a...More

Bussana Vecchia was a welcome surprise for a random traveller with a car. Not advertised a lot it seems, but excellent place to wonder into. Hippie community feeling is still strong in some stores and the Jazz Club kinda. Loved everything about it.

It is a place you visit once like many others of this nature. If elderly, not the easiest place to walk because of the ups and downs and the cobble stones. Parking is non existant except along the road to Bussana Vecchia. It is a...More

The fascination of the old village , with its ruins left by an earthquake , its quiet narrow streets , the church , is really stunning and deserves more than one quick visit

We finally checked out this old (9th century) coastal hill town & found it fascinating. But the drive up & down the horrible single lane road to it was almost not worth it. The place is a wreck. It was abandoned for many years after...More

I think it's downright dangerous navigating up this steep single track mountain road where traffic gets stuck because the road isn't wide enough for two cars. All of this effort to see a pretty hillside village with average artists exhibiting their work. The church in...More

Took a while to find the way there. Narrow road with minimal parking. The walk around the place was interesting to image how people lived there before the earthquake. Now some of the houses are used/lived in by artists but overall it's a desolate place....More
