Great little town, be sure to visit to seaside area Albissola Marina,great restaurants and seaside park.Savona is also the origin and/or destination port for many Costa Cruises.

This is a port town and gateway to Portifno and Monte Carlo. We had booked to go to Portofino but our trip was cancelled at the last minute. We ended up spending a Sunday in the town which was mainly closed until around Midday when the odd shop started to open. Nice town but in the time we had to explore there wasn't much to see

Embarkation terminal for cost ships with development potential

We were told to board at 1:00 p.m. and even though we were there on time, we had to wait another two hours to check in. Sure, there is a huge amount of organization behind it, but what I don't understand is that with so many staff standing around and getting bored, the whole thing isn't handled more quickly. There's still a lot of room for improvement, I think.
By the way, this wasn't our first time boarding in Savona and it's the same cabaret every time.

Amusing shopping place

Located nearby the cruise docks,
Inviting and very well decoeated place, perfect place for gifts and a drink oe coffe....
A lot of locally made products (food, spirits, arts and crafts, etc.) The price is reasonable considering the prroducts are good quality (not made in China) ....Owners and personnell kind and very helpfull

CITY NOT DEVELOPED AND NO PETS FRIENDLY

2024 DOGS NOT ALLOWED ALMOST EVERYWHERE, the only nearby place that admits them makes you pay 108 euros two deckchairs and a parasol .. the SEPARATE COLLECTION do better in the third world and the beach bars do not even have the foresight to put small dustbins on the tables so as not to flutter all the papers, sugar bags etc. THAT GO THEN INTO THE SEA!

A very pleasant little Ligurian town! We were surprised by this stopover! In the morning, visit the city center and then some swimming on the beach near the port! A great stopover during our cruise with the Costa Smeralda

Savona is an industrial center, it smells bad at the seaside promenade, a mix of rotten fish and burnt rubber. A beach is being built there, good luck to those who dare to get into the water.
