Walls everywhere

The ancient walls of the city are a feature everywhere in Spoleto. Bus stops and car parks you will see impressive remains of these ancient fortifications.

Another interesting feature of Spoleto which I saw several times and didn't realise was an attraction until a minute ago.

Ancient city walls.

Mura Ciclepiche stands for the old city walls of Spoleto, today you can still find sections of these old defense walls. There is a section near the Chiesa di San Nicolo on Via Saccoccio Cecili, and on Via Ponzianina which leads to Piazza della Signoria near the Duomo which we found. The walls are made from blocks of limestone, they are impressive and well kept.
