Whilst we enjoyed La Passeggiata, it does seem to have become more touristy with the restaurants serving tourist menus. Very pleasant.

This is a great place to take in the sun, sand and shopping. Do yourself a favor and stop i. Viareggio you will never regret it.

Great safe walking in the evenings. Also rented a bicycle at the nearby park. Well maintained bikes at reasonable prices.

WE thoroughly enjoyed our walk along here. There are plenty of seats if you get tired; plenty of places to stop for refreshments; and numerous shops (quite a lot with expensive clothing). Very little views of the sea; but some very attractive buildings.
