Annie Adair and her colleagues offer a introductory walking tour of Volterra, Tuscany's oldest, continuously-inhabited city.The one-hour walk is held EVERY DAY from 6pm to 7pm, April through October (except August). Cost: €10 per person, minimum 3 persons or €30Meeting point: Piazza Martiri della Libertà, in front of the ALI alabaster shop.This is a group tour, and there is no need to book in advance.The walk is done in English by professional, licensed guides and touches on Volterra's Etruscan, Roman and Medieval history.

I highly recommend you do this as your first stop in Volterra. It will give you a nice feel for the town and a good lesson in its history and importance. Very interesting worthwhile, A must.

We loved this interesting tour with Annie. Annie was so interesting as she told us many stories that brought Volterra to life for us. She certainly has a passion for the town and it's history.

This lady was amazing. She took us from one end of Voltera to the other explaining everything along the way. This is a must do and a Rick Steves’ recommendation.
