Pleasant, lovely walk with great scenery. If you have the time, you could spend a relxing morning, afternoon or evening just walking, sitting, do a little window shopping, have a meal or gelato. We did shorter ones 3 times. If you are in Desenzano, this is a must.

Tho was the highlight of our visit , walking along the beautiful lake with so much to see . Despite the searing heat it was still enjoyable with lots of seating available to grab a drink or ice cream . You can walk hours or a quick 15 min stroll , always enjoyable .

This was a pleasant walk along the water, with beaches in one side, and small parks and gardens on the other. On a Sunday morning we encountered a local ”Cars & Coffee” of sorts.

We stayed her for five nights and loved walking along the promenade from our hotel and into town, and even further. It was lovely watching the boats (small and large) on the lake, and at weekend families enjoying sitting by the lake in the sun, and swimming. We have been to several towns on the lake whilst here, and Desenzano is by far our favourite.

We absolutely loved walking along the lake front and considering the weather was wet and windy we still admired the views and scenery .

This is a nice lake front area that is well worth taking a walk along. There are many restaurants and bars across the road from the lakeside that are worth sitting down at for a while.

The lakefront of Desenzano is a nice and charming place, with views of the lake, the old port, the lighthouse, etc. really very beautiful and relaxing. Especially in the morning, when there are few people, it is nice to sit on the benches and admire the lake with the boats docked. There are many flower beds, embellished with flowers and in one we saw a swan with young.

A long lake where you can really walk in relaxation, although on a Saturday evening it is completely full. Sunday evening a little emptier and perhaps better: it depends on what you are looking for at that moment when you are walking.
We enjoyed both evenings.
On one side the lake, on the other: restaurants, bars and ice cream parlors.
The central square allows you to enjoy an ice cream overlooking the lake. Even on a bench.
The nearby paid parking is convenient.
The photographs taken both in the afternoon and in the evening convey the idea better than written words.

So foreigners once came to Lake Garda for the lake, the cuisine and the swimming pools of the campsites. Today they are all equipped with electric bicycles that look like Leopard tanks and armed with helmets they ride from morning to night on the sidewalks of Desenzano but also of Sirmione and Peschiera. If from Rivoltella you get the idea of wanting to walk towards Desenzano, you have to be very careful not to be overwhelmed by foreign cyclists who think the pavements are all cycle paths for their "Leopards". In fact they will sound or look at you badly. I believe that municipal administrations must take note of this transformation of German and Dutch tourists in winter by preparing cycle paths dedicated to them for summer 2024. Maybe electric bikes on one side of the road and pedestrians on the other. It should be written in their languages to moderate speed when crossing pedestrians, and the use of these vehicles in residential areas as well as very dangerous scooters should be prohibited. Let's see if winter brings advice. The bicycle problem exists and must be managed as soon as possible

Normal nice lakeside promenade but only in the central area, probably little exploited and enhanced compared to others on the same lake
