This is a stunner of a castle set on the lake shore, huge and with its own harbour. It is spread over a large area and about four floors, with great views if you climb the metal spiral staircase to the top. You can walk...More

Not so much to see walking around the castle itself but the views from the top of the bell tower make it worth the visit alone.

Roughly a 5 minute walk from the lakefront up a steep hill, the castle offers great views of the lake and desenzano. There was an ongoing tour when we visited but we didnt stay too long. As great as the views are, alternatively the castle...More

We didn't go in as we were there on a Sunday and it was closed, but the area leading up to the castle, and the views from its surroundings are breathtaking. I highly recommend walking up and enjoying the unique Italian scenery of the city...More

Lovely view of the town/lake. If you walk down from train station, visit this on the way down and save you legs. You will only spend 30 minutes here.

Check the opening times as people keep getting caught out. The sign on the site is attached in the image provided. For the summer holiday, it's clearly shut for lunch 12-4:30, so make sure you read and check properly! I saw so many people leaving...More

Went along early afternoon and it was closed, opened again at 4-30. So we went back then, being the first Sunday of the month access was free, lovely big castle, worthwhile going to the top for the views.
