I'm sorry, but elliptical dome of the church of Universidad Laboral, in Gijon (Asturias, Spain), built around 1950, has internal axes of 45.80 by 25.20 m, which are both bigger than internal axes of this beautyful and old building (37.23 by 24.89 m), so the dome in Gijón has a bigger area. I don't know if there is any other... More

My cousin was married here last year and returning to the church was wonderful. Organized tours of the dome and architecture are available through the end of October. $15, a few words on safety, helmet and harness and you're on your way. Spaces are limited, a reservation may be advisable depending upon time of day. Approximately 1.5 hours with some... More

The Magnificat tour of the dome of Santuario is fun, interesting and provides some magnificent views of the surrounding countryside and town as well as the church itself. The guides spoke in Italian, but provided an audio guide in English and were careful to make sure that we were included at all times. The history of the building is fascinating,... More

New attraction: you can go to the dome of this Santuario “Regina Montis Regalis”. "À ne pas manquer." The visit takes about one hour.

Nicely restored site, the visit to the top of the dome is well worth it. This is a place which transpires peace and calm

An extraordinary elliptical cupola (I recommend the climb to the top for the vigorous). From the outside, the architecture is a mish-mash of 3 different styles, but the inside is glorious). Access and parking are very easy and there are good gelato and pastry shops just across the street.

The largest elliptical dome in the world in this small little town in the province of Cuneo. We were told 6,000 meters of paintings in the church. Excellent statues around the altar. Worth seeing.

What a strange and magnificent building to find in a small village, in the middle of nowhere. The inside is truly beautiful and very serene, the outside has picnic tables and a large expanse of greenery, which places the building in a little oasis (indeed, a sanctuary). Very unusual and an impressive find.

We went on the short (45 min) tour because we have a little girl. Otherwise, we would have taken the long tour and visit the top of the dome. We called in advance, and the ticket office was incredibly helpful to organize an English-speaking guide just for us! Elisa, our guide, took us on a private tour for no extra... More

Lovely place! One cannot imagine such a beautiful place in the middle of small villages! The interior of the sanctuary beautifully kept! With guides pretty well informed!
