Life-changing experience... but I didn't like some of the things I saw. First was the chains around some of the elephants - it's clear that they use chains at night, or something. Why not take them off when they see guests, at a minimum? I didn't expect that. They say that they're for the babies, but I saw them around... More

The most amazing day ever bare back riding elephants washing them in the river and a four seasons lunch all in private with showers after a soaking with the elephants in the river! Finished with a raft ride in luxury back to your transfer. Highly recommended.

This is a private experience with a small group of about 7 domesticated elephants. The staff is friendly and accommodating and the elephants are simply incredible. However, I was upset about the treatment of the elephants. I had done research before the trip and noted that one should stay clear of elephant experiences that allow riding, particularly with a trekking... More

We selected ELE based on a friend's recommendation. We arranged the trip through a local event/adventure guide due to not being able to contact ELE directly. At the time, we were told they do not book directly with tourists. I am not sure if this is still the case. Upon arrival we were greeted by the friendly, super accommodating staff... More

This camp exceeded all expectations. We should up and were a bit nervous because we're both (i think) very sensitive to animal abuse. We had the camp to ourselves (just two of us) for the whole afternoon. Any animal that they exercise in the morning show (also private) they will not work in the afternoon. We learned a lot, swam,... From start to finish this experience was amazing. We were met by two elephants which we fed. Then changed into mahout costumes and learned more about the elephants. We were not planning to ride them as many of the elephants are treated cruelly in these parks but here they gave humane practices so we rode them briefly bareback. Then our... More

I wasn't sure what to expect from the Elephant tour but knew we were in for a great day as soon as we got there and were greeted by a wonderful attentive staff and 2 beautiful 4 and 6 year old elephants. The day was extremely organized from start to finish and we were able to do so many different... More

A completely private day with the Elephants - no other people. It was my husband and I. We loved it all! It is worth the money and you will go away with a great experience. Can do as much or as little as you wish. Favorite part of the day was going into the water with the elephants and bathing... More

This experience was included in our Wanna Tour itinerary. Our experience was just thee two of us. We were enthralled from our first moment of being introduced to our elephants, feeding them sugar cane and petting their heads and trunks. As the day developed we rode our elephant, fed them often, received kisses, hugs, and they lifted my husband in... More
