This was my second time riding elephants, and I would recommend spending the extra $$ to do this and have the 1:1 time. Didn't know we were suppose to bring money to buy extra sugar cane to give the elephants. Bring some 20s. There are people selling in tall huts on your way back, and the pictures of you feeding... My wife Betsy and I were able to build a full day itinerary, personalized to us. We did 2 hours riding elephants in the morning, then 2 hours at the nursery, and ended the day at Tiger Kingdom. We worked with Joe to plan our day, and he was very flexible when we wanted to change our plans. He picked... More

We wanted to be able to tailored our visit so we could spend our time with the baby elephants and their keepers and the Thai Elephant Home allowed us to do that .Our day was spent with one mom (15 years old) her 4 year old female and her 1 month old male. There was also another 4 year old... More

We looked into all the elephant experiences and this one was a bit more expensive but sooo worth it. I highly recommend doing the 2 hour elephant base camp and the nursery in the afternoon. It was only us and another family at the nursery getting to play with a baby elephant. Truly one of the greatest experiences my husband... More

We went on a 3 day 2 night stay here the eco bungalows are amazing and you are right above the elephants and an amazing view to wake up to in the morning, we wanted to get up at 630 in the morning and go down and help clean and feed the elephants in the morning with the mahouts, which... More

We can see the elephants are well taken care of. The experience of interacting with these massive fantastic animals is one of the best I've ever had. I couldn't recommend more Thai Elephant home. They are doing an incredible work!

Just returned from a several hour interaction with the elephants at the Thai Elephant Home. We chose this particular place because of a local recommendation for a place that treated the elephants humanely. We shared the day with two other couples and had a fabulous time. The day consisted of an introduction, feeding the elephants bananas, a long bareback ride... More

There are not enough adjectives to describe my experience at the Thai Elephant Home; never have I gone to a place and felt so welcomed by the residents. We stayed at the Elephant Home for 3 nights. During that time we interacted with the elephants but also with manager Joe and his family, Prieta, Leslie (better known at T) a... More

We very much enjoyed our time at the Thai Elephant Home! We had not thought ahead to book our tour and they were able to fit us in the next day. The rest of the group that was supposed to ride with us cancelled so it was just my husband, myself, the mahouts, and the owner! What a beautiful experience!... More
