Last week when holidaying in Chiang Mai, Thailand, my partner and I were recommended to do a cookery course as part of our Chiang Mai experience. The one recommended was called 'The Lemongrass Cookery School and I must say that it was great fun.Usually, my partner does the cooking because I'm not too good. But the instructress, called Jiab, was... More

We were collected from our hotel in downtown Chiang Mai just after breakfast and driven about 20 minutes out of town to the Lemongrass Cookery School. On arrival, our initial impression was sheer delight. The kitchen is spacious and cleverly designed for its purpose. There is even an old fashioned open fireplace on the back wall. So you're wondering if the school might be a place for you to enjoy a soothing day without the need to worry and the chance to... More

I loved every minute of it - it's a perfect place to learn about Thai cooking methods, different spices, plants and vegetables, to spend time with wonderful people, not to mention great meals in a gorgeous outdoor kitchen.
