A hidden treasure. If you are looking for peace and quite in a beautiful location with spacious accommodation then this place is for you. Our family of 6 adults and two children under 2yrs had more than enough space in the modern, clean and tidy b&b. The staff were lovely and the food was delicious (if you provide your own... More

This winery is easy to miss as it is 10 k off the highway with only two other wineries, before you get to Murrumbateman. The location is spectacular, high on a hill. The cellar door itself is a warm haven, and the wines are excellent, and good value (the Pinto $20 and Sparkling $33 are stand outs). We had a... More

We dined as a group of seven at lunch time. The food was very good with plenty of variety on the menu. The winery produces a large enough range of reds, whites and sparkling wine, even dessert wines so there was something to go with every dish. The only disappointment was the coffee which was quite poor! I was not... More

Highly recommend a visit to Surveyors Hill winery. Brilliant imaginative lunch, charming service, wonderful short adventure. Great modern cottage to rent for out of towners. Charming old orchard. Charming boutique winery. Will return, next time with a bigger group to enjoy this gem.

This is the second time we have stayed at the Surveyor's hill B&B. We looked forward to having a great meal and were't disappointed. A cosy restaurant with surrounding vineyards. The accommodation is comfortable and quiet. It is close to all the attractions of our capital Canberra and gives visitors time out from the hubbub of life's stresses. Fresh well... More

A great little winery in the bush of Australia. I love rustic places off the beaten path. Cool tasting room, a great little bar and café. Friendly service from a knowledgeable owner. Good wines. I quite enjoyed myself here.

We truly enjoyed a Valentine's Day wine tasting, dinner and overnight stay and were impressed by the food - fresh, homemade and gourmet; the accommodations - spacious, clean, comfortable with all the conveniences; the wine selection - from a delightful sparkling blend to a hearty shiraz; the surroundings - peaceful and beautiful; and also the hosts - friendly, interesting and... Three of us had lunch at Surveyor’ Hill & enjoyed the atmosphere, outlook, friendly staff, and wine tasting. The meal greatly disappointed us: the arrow head like portions of whiting in bubble like batter were very small and had scarcely any flavour, without even a subtle hint of a herb. the fish came with one medallion of roast potato. The... More

Surveyor’s Hill (Winery, Bistrot and B&B), although actually just inside NSW, is set in the rolling hills around Canberra. Over the past ten years the region (known as Canberra District) has become very popular for its good food and wine - Riesling, Shiraz and Viognier blends. A concentration of wineries around Murrumbateman is just 30 minutes away. At Surveyor’s Hill... More
