We were in Brantome when the shops were closed so decided on the river trip instead. The guide was informative and spoke in English for our benefit. Found out a lot we would have otherwise have missed. Beautiful trip up into the countryside. Good value.

My family and I went on this boat ride while spending the weekend at the Charbonel Hotel. You basically get to ride down the river and discover a very natural untouched environment. If you are looking for a relaxing way to spend an hour, this is for you. Just be sure to bring cash because they don't take credit cards.

It was the last tour for the day and it was off season so we had a private tour. It was relaxing, fun and a brilliant way to finish the tour in this beautiful city.

The trip did not go very far from the centre of Brantome, but the guide appeared passionate about the area he was presenting. Smaller boat than the other one operating in Brantome, therefore able to get into more restricted reaches of the river. It was certainly more interesting than the competitor's tour. The commentary was not amplified, but perfectly audible,... More

Another view of Brantôme. Total calm once leaving the town ....sounds of insects and water life. So relaxing. Information on history and points of interest pointed out along the way.

Gliding under the bridges past a magnificent Benedictine abbey and a charming mediaeval town is a very pleasant experience not to be missed.

Not a great adventure but a pleasant hour sitting in a quiet electric boat on the canal. The commentary is in French but they have English language translations to hand out if your French isn't up to it. If you go not expecting too much you will enjoy the views and tranquillity (assuming no noisy kids aboard!) Brantome is lovely... More

There are 2 boat tours available on the river at Brantome, of the two L'Arche de Noe is my preferred choice, being a smaller (16 seat If my memory serves me) punt pushed along by the operator, (the other operator offers motor powered tour boats). Trip is pleasant, taking you along the river with lovely views of the town, out... More
