We spent a day wandering around the Ile de Batz yesterday, and really enjoyed it. We took a picnic, but there are several places to eat if you are not going too far off the beaten track. The gardens were beautiful.

I loved my day trip to Ile de Batz from Roscoff. The island was so different from the mainland, with beautiful views and sandy beaches. It is a must-see.

The island is a 15 minute boat trip from Roscoff. The trip is worth the money alone for the sea views especially if you can arrive on low tide and leave high tide (or vice versa)

The trip starts with a short ferry trip. Very pleasant small island mixing rather wild countrysides together with white sand beaches, botanical garden, and abbey ruin. Walking is the best way to discover this charming place, taking time for discovering its narrow streets and quite...More

Take the ferry for the short crossing and feel cut off from reality for a few hours. This enchanting island offers plenty of opportunities to walk or cycle (reasonable hire readily to hand) and we are anxious to return.
