It was amazing for me to visit the France Temple Visitor Center from the comfort of my own home. With an internet connection and my laptop I was able to enjoy this beautiful and peaceful place that is thousands of miles away, its just amazing. The tour guides did an amazing job showing me around, teaching me about the Temple. They have this incredible temple model that has intricate details of the actual temple so I could see how it looked inside, they taught we what members of the church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints do in this amazing building. I truly hope to travel there in person someday. I would highly recommend you schedule a virtual tour soon.

Stopped by to visit the gardens. I’m not a Mormon, was only on a business trip to Paris.
I was well impressed by the peace felt. You can tell it’s not a cult like many call it. You just have to walk around the grounds to feel the beautiful energy.
If I felt stressed or discouraged...it’s the place I’d visit again to feel how I felt today. Really unbelievable!

as a member of the Church, and going to Paris... it is almost a personal mecca to visit this 'Temple.. Our grandson was sealed in the 'Temple , and our reason to have visited Paris. And that is enough reason for us to have been there.

If you are not a Mormon do not go here...it is only for Mormons and not a tourist attraction. This is new to the city.

I visited the temple during it's post-construction, pre-consecration open house. Very interesting for me as a non-LDS to have the experience. It was fairly mellow and non-mysterious.

I highly recommend that you visit the newly built temple of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in the Paris area. There is a beautiful garden with a large statue of the famous Christus. It is a relaxing place to visit. There is a beautiful Visitor's Center attached to the beautifully designed temple. This is close to Versailles.

Unlike most LDS temples this temple is situated off of a busy street with residences nearby. We almost missed it as we drove by. The stained glass windows are incredible. There is a small visitor center with information on family history, and some nice gardens with a christus statue outside. Visitors must have a special recommend to go inside the temple.

What a peaceful spirit we felt as we toured the Temple Grounds. The small visitors center was very helpful in answering questions and were not "pushy" or "preachy" at all. Wonderful feeling there.

I am flying into CDG airport on April 11 at 9:05 am. Can you tell me how to get to the Mormon Temple? Should I spend the night in Versailles, so I can see the Palace on Sunday? Thank you for your help. I am a senior citizen traveling alone.

There is not an easy direct route on public transportation, and the current strikes (which will hopefully be over by April) make it difficult for me to search train schedules. But from CDG you can take a combination of RER B, Metro line 6, and RER C to the Versailles Chateau Rive Gauche station, which is right by the chateau. From there, it's a little over a mile to the temple. You could walk, or you could get a taxi/Uber, or there are buses but you need to change in between. If you have access to Google maps while you're there, it will probably show you the best route.
Your sightseeing priorities are up to you, but you definitely could spend the night in Versailles and see the chateau the next day/Sunday. Depending upon how much time you want to spend at the temple, and what other plans you have in Paris, you could also see both the temple and some of the chateau/gardens on Saturday and go back to Paris that night, although it would be a long day, especially if you're coming from California.

Hi, could you give the different options of how to get to the LDS Paris Temple from Palace the Versailles?
Written June 24, 2019
We took the train from Paris to Versailles. There were taxis at the train station and we took one to the temple. We walked from the temple to the Palace of Versailles. I'm not sure what other options there might be but I don't remember the walk being very long or tedious.

what is the best way to get to the temple from CDG?
Written April 2, 2019
If you have Google Maps, you can look up the best routes by car or by public transportation. Right now the public transport route would be Rer B to Chatelet Les Halles, transfer to Rer A ride until Gare de la defense, transfer to L line to Versailles Rive Droite, then the S bus to La Celle then walk to the temple from there.
