"VIP" Scutum lounge SCAM
1.0 of 5 bubblesMay 2024
I bought box tickets to see Taylor Swift in Paris (coming from the US). The tickets were categorized as VIP Scutum Lounge. The tickets were not released to me until about a week before the event. VIP usually has early access so we went early and we had to wait in the burning sun for over an hour with a mix of regular admissions and VIPs. Once we made it through that line, we had to wait AGAIN for another half hour+ until our "lounge" opened. Once inside, we were greeted with cocktails and miniture snacks/bites. It was supposed to be a full-on dinner, and the only food served was strange little bits of food. I am not a picky eater and didn't touch most of what was served. The drinks were unlimited, but we were told we couldn't bring them to our seats; later, that was changed to only beer in plastic cups. The seats were so far away that we could barely make Taylor out on stage, and a large tower with a speaker blocked our view of the big screen. We were so far away that even my brand new Iphone with the fancy camera had trouble taking photos. You could barely see anything. I paid over 3k for these tickets and felt completely bamboozled by La Defense Stadium. It was a complete letdown, and my fiance (for whom the tickets were a gift) was extremely upset by the situation. There was no organization, improper information, and cheapness throughout the event. They offer an elevated experience but give you cheap seats and zero food, and it's not worth the extra money to buy this fake "VIP" ticket. Save your money and buy a standing room or other seat. They make so much money off these seats, its a scam.

Went to a concert here in August for the first time. Few minutes walk from the La Defense metro station and La Defense shopping centre. Lot's of places to eat around there before a concert.
Plenty of access points to arena and lots of staff members around. Despite it being indoors the temperature was perfect and very welcome from the hot weather. Sound was excellent for concert. After the concert, despite the big crowd there was no wait for the metro. Everything was so straightforward.

I went to the Springsteen concerts at La Defense Arena in May 23. Unfortunately, the staff at the drink stand was overwhelmed. I got the wrong drink three times. Each time my credit card was swiped. I actually assumed that the wrong drinks would be cancelled. But that was not the case. After my return, I saw four charges on my credit card - only one of which I had actually received a drink for.
I then contacted Topivo Nanterre three times by email and once by letter and asked for a refund. There was no reply and of course no refund ...
I can only advise every visitor to be careful when buying and to ask for a cancellation directly in case of a wrong performance. Topivo Nanterre is unfortunately very unserious and does not react to complaints.

Was there with a friend for the Burna Boy concert on May 20th. The staff was very very nice and helpful with coordinating everything. The scanning process was super quick and even the queue that seemed scary long moved very fast and we were inside after only a 20-minute wait. Inside it was comfortable, well-ventilated, and pleasant. Great experience!

A marvelous Concert of Bruce Springsteen. I don't know where other writers of critics here have been but the Concert on May 15 was just great! The Boss in superb form and the Sound in the venue was extremely good!

Also the surrounding of the Arena ist good, access to RER or Metro quite good and no queing at the entrance.

No lifts, no escalators, not enough toilet facilities or food/drink concessions. Seats are comfortable to sit on for about 5 minutes. No room to pass people already seated to reach your own seat. Not near enough protection for those seated in the front row to prevent anyone falling over into bottom tier.

Very nice arena situated in the heart of La Defense. Easily reachable via the RER, Tram, or Metro. It's also very close walking distance from the La Defense mall, so it's not a bad idea to grab a meal before walking down the hill to the arena for the match or event you're attending. Great venue for rugby despite some naysayers. If you're a Racing 92 fan, it's home. Visiting teams and fans tend to have a tough time here, but only because the home team fans drown them out. Comfortable spot to watch rugby or see a concert as it's climate controlled and concessions are fine. If coming for rugby, there are loud sections and even family sections (quieter), where you sit and enjoy the match with fellow fans.

Went to the Arena to see Iron Maiden and had a great time. It's well located nearby to the metro station and well laid out with numerous access points. Inside was air conditioned and a great relief from a scorching not day. It's not surrounded by many places to eat or drink but we did find an Irish bar nearby to sing along with fellow fans after the gig.

Had my second visit to La Defense Arena recently and sadly had another defeat at the hands of Racing 92 but c’est la vie - you cant win ‘em all. This review is not about the game but is about the Arena/Stadium. The whole impression you get in the Stadium is that the location is all about entertainment so lots of flashing lights, loud music and razzmatazz that is reminiscent of something like the Super Bowl. But I just wanted to see a rugby game with two teams going head to head and the thrill of the competition as you get in Lansdowne, or Muurayfield or, Twickenham or, Cardiff or, Eden Park etc etc. in La Defense I get a U2 or Stones Concert. And after all that when Teddy Thomas has either a brilliant try or, a painfully close near miss the on screen replay has the visual quality of a 50 year old TV screen with a mere two cameras. And the pitch is artificial. Nah....it all leaves me cold and nostalgic for the mud and beer of yesteryear. Not for me.

Impressive facilities, limit range of food/drinks, but many points and helpful staff. Not great for rugby in my view, too much razzmatazz and they seem to dampen down visiting supporters by ramping up rock music during the game, great rugby team, but none traditional surroundings. Probably needs to be seen once, just once.
