This is a small museum with an international reputation. I recently visited the special exhibition of works by Pierre Brune, a guided tour with a visit to his former home in Ceret. Some thoughtful commentary from the guide and several great paintings by Brune, some of which I would be happy to have in my home. The permanent exhibition has... More

The museum is quite a gem in a very attractive town. Our visit coincided with an exhibition of Alain Clement's work which interesting in itself, was perhaps a bit repetitive, particularly since some of his pictures, featured only on screen, I felt were well worthy of greater exposure. Other work in the museum features pictures and ceramics by Picasso, a... More

Its very easy to get to the place since there are signs that indicate you the way to get there easily. The small town of Ceret is quite nice and well taken care of. The museum has nice P.Brune collection , some Miro's, one Chagall and surprisingly a very decent collection of different Picasso's art pieces. Besides of post-surrealist and... More

We visit this museum often and their special exhibitions are really well curated. Thete is such depth of artistic innovation in this region and the museum does really well to demonstrate the connectivity of the artists. until the end of October it is Maillol with Frère and Pons - delightful!

This museum shows off the area artists that use to live in Ceret. Do not miss it when you are in this town.

We were really interested in seeing this museum and travelled quite a long way to visit the town and the exhibition. There was a special exhibition of several well known painters and sculptors and it was interesting to see their work exhibited. Enjoy asked at reception for an English translation and we're firmly told 'non'! however, there were info sheets... More

The museum has a permanent collection of paintings related to Ceret. You'll see works from Picasso (a very big section of the museum), Chagall, Braque, Gris, etc.

This is a great little Gallery. There is plenty of viewing space, I felt unhurried. The works are displayed well.

Fearing this would be too small for our cultural friends, we were most impressed with the collection offered. Insight into Henri Frere also whose work I loved. Go to the end first and see the film as it puts a lot into context!

Nothing spectacular, but was an impressive modern art museum for a small rural french town. Has some works from impressive artists, but none of their more impressive or important works. Still, nonetheless impressive for an art museum in a small town.
