We visited a week before the end of the season. We made sure it was a sunny day and even then at 2000m it is of course rather nippy! There are a variety of marked walks available and it is a wonderful place to just contemplate. In the peak season these remarks may well have been very different as even... More

It's a easy track for the family with child, and it's a beautiful place to eat a picknick. Near Spain and andorra.

We are not a really sporty family, but even us can handle this and we walked about 12 kilometers! Nice surrounding, lakes, horses and cows.

The walks are amazing & the views one of there kind. You will need hiking shoes but there are lots of walks to do short to long one. Definitely a place where you can clear your mind. A place to remember for life. Most of the hikers are friendly. Trails are well indicated & easy to follow.

This is the beginning of a fabulous walk in summer and an interesting walk in winter, if you have snow walking equipment. You can go as high as you want and every level brings the joy of spectacular mountains. The road trip here from Caudies and Quillan is wonderful as you drive up and up into the high mountains. The... Beautiful highland place tucked away between some high peaks. Put on your walking shoes, take some food, drinks and extra clothes with you, and be amazed by this absolutely stunning piece of nature.

We only had enough time to do the 2.5 hours circuit (suitable for families) but had such an amazing time. The park charges 5 euros per person for the entrance and the parking + bus transport to and from the dam is free. You can arrive before 7am if you wish to be able to drive to the dam and... More

We vistied this lake in July 2015 with our little daughter (5 years). There are two ways to go up to this lake in the summer: - By bus from a parking area ( takes about 20 minutes and costs around 5 euros/person, leaving every 15 minutes, starting early in the morning). -By ski-lift departing at parking el calme. The... More

The drive to Lac des Bouillouses along the road leading to it takes some 15 minutes or so, passing along a shallow river and several picnic areas. In high summer, to avoid congestion, vehicles cannot drive to the lake. Instead there is a parking area and shuttle bus (small charge); a system that works quite well. Other times; drive yourself.... We live close by and this is an area we visit regularly and never fail to be amazed by its bueaty, for those wanting a gentle stroll the lake provides an easy walk whilst for the more adventurous you can climb Carlit or the Perics.
