After getting dressed for the occasion with a hard hat and earphones, we traveled underground for a very interesting and informative tour. The teenage students were very attentive which goes to show how interesting it really was.

This former quarry was used to create an underground network as part of an allied offensive against the Germans in WW1 and the tour clearly acknowledges the contribution of the many soldiers of the British Comonwealth to this effort. Their are explanations in both English and French to enhance the projected images and artefacts on display as you walk through.... More

A wonderful history of the battle of Arras from the tunnels. Guide spoke excellent English and audio guide worked well. Not well signposted coming from Bapaume but keep on the main road looking out for the sign, it's just before a supermarket on the right.

I was amazed how 24,000 people could live under there - and how the New Zealanders built the connecting tunnels. It is a great experience to visit here, as you actually go 20m down and walk through with hard hat and all. Highly recommended.

If you are following the memorial tour this is a must see. Take the guided tour and let your imagination take you back. The guide was excellent and added more information to the experience. Totally stunning.

Stumbled on the museum on a TA search and pleased we went. Paid a morning visit with the kids en-route to Calais. The kids grumbled at the forced history lesson but, in the end, actually found it interesting and informative. The short 10 minute film at the end was worth seeing as it gave a good sense of the huge... More

If your near here then I can recommend a tour The guide was knowledgeable and the headsets were useful. The tunnels are not small they are well lit and the history is amazing.

We really enjoyed this tour. The staff were great & had very good bi-lingual skills so despite having English & French people in our group we all got a really informative tour. It's fairly central & easy to get to & it's very sensitively done to explain the purpose for the tunnels & the battle of Arras. I would definitely... More

This was well worth a visit; when my wife finds it interesting (as a non historian) it must be good. Its another piece in the jigsaw if you like history. So interesting, what these soldiers did in the 14-18 war was unbelievable.
