So, it's not Copacabana, but you get a nice sandy beach very close to the central town. Not huge numbers of tourists, so you can run about without crowds. It's under-publicized and free so forget the industrial buildings nearby and run or play on the fine sand.

Once we walked past the construction and industrial looking area of the waterfront, we arrived at the sandy beaches in this waterfront town. It was relatively deserted in March but you could imagine the summertime crowds. We soaked up the early spring sun and enjoyed the days' warmth!

Loads of sand and space to run and play. Although it was cold when we visited, we still found time to use the great play equipment and wrote a few sand messages!

Traveled here by car from Belgium for a 5 day stay, and rented an apartment in nearby Wimereux. Visited the Saturday morning market in the center, and seemed to me to be the most "original" market I've visited in Europe. The beach is fabulous, and the boardwalk a great place to have a coffee and survey the beauty. The beach... More

Its a beach. Seen one seen them all. Get over it. It's long it's the right colour and the sea rolls in. Hard for me to get excited really.

Easy to park your car in the free or pay car park. During sunday morning there is a market on the boulevard. Many sitting areas also on the pier opposite the harbour. Many brasseries in the neighbourhood even as Nausicaa the sealife centre lies on the corner.

The sand was hot hot hot!! We enjoyed lounging in the sun, paddling I the warm waters which seemed to be shallow for quite some distance. There was a constant life guard presence both on the beach and in the water. Popular beach so parking in the free spots is limited and you could do 3 or 4 circles before... More

The beach wasn't initially our plan since we were only in town for a day, but the weather was perfect and we liked that the beach wasn't overcrowded and noisy. In fact, it was so perfect we couldn't resist enjoying an ice pop before heading out. The sand felt great between our toes (some beaches are not comfortable to walk... More
