A true place of worship; Returning once again I noticed the progress made in the most loving and costly process of restoration. One can feel restored in one’s soul after a while in contemplation. I just hope the roadwork and creation of the new Plaza...More

As a result of the heavy snow east of Alencon and the subsequent icy road conditions. We struck out on RN12 to visit Alencon, which we have passed by for more than 40 years on both the Autoroute and the HGV dominated RN. Our visit...More

Sunday morning visit, just before mass. Choir were practising for the service - beautiful sound. Being relatively small, the church had a lovely atmosphere. Very lovely and interesting

Large church but small for a basilica. Lots to see. Organ recital whilst we were there. Brill. Nice cobbled square with open air cafe and bar. Unbelievable Tourism Office(in terms of building) next to it.

We sat in the square where this is located and ate dinner, Its an amazing old church. We walked around the inside prior to dinner. Just beautiful and I would not miss this if I was you.

Worth a look around. Another great French building and lots of history. Worth going in and looking at the stained glass window. Also plenty of street cafes outside to sit and watch the world go by.

This Basilique was mostly destroyed in WW2. Although they have done a great job rebuilding it is just not the same as most of the other old churches in France.

Another of France's splendid religious buildings. The main attraction is the chapel devoted to the parents of Saint Thérèse, where their relics are. There's also an impressive baldachin.
