The Norte Dame at Amiens is stunning. Although not as famous as the one in Paris, its height and beauty make it just as deserving of a visit. Our kids are small and we still managed to see everything we wanted to see. There are photos of the interior during WWI displayed throughout-the community did an amazing job of preserving... More

Cathedral is huge - it's very heigh. Inside is quite empty, the organs are impressive, nice stained glass.

This is a great Cathedral to visit in the Centre of Amiens. I am just amazed at how they ever managed to build such big detailed buildings like this. It was very cold when we visited in January but even colder inside!

After weeks of very hot weather we arrived here as the rain came pouring down. Regardless of the weather the cathedral is incredible and we couldn't wait for the illuminations in the evening. Inside it is a masterpiece structure and it is surrounded by a great selection of bars and restaurants.

Few people know this fact. The cathedral of Amiens is much bigger than Notre Dame de Paris and some other really big cathedrals in France. It is rated even 23-th in the world. If you are lucky, you can catch a light show which is projected over its facade. The surrounding old neighborhood is also worth seeing. And don't miss... More

Huge expanse which has been beautifully cleaned and restored for its upcoming anniversary. The stone carving of the portals and the internal screens is incredible. In December there were surprisingly few visitors. But bundle up, it's very very cold inside!

There are not many cathedrals that can compare to Amiens. The artwork, especially the painted sculptures depicting the lives of a number of saints surrounding the main alter area, is simply brilliant. I especially liked the sculpted scene of a saint being martyred (in the process of being beheaded) by a man (wearing very colourful stripey trousers) with a large... More
