A beautiful church full of history, with a lot of emphasis, obviously, on the battles that raged in the area, and the people involved. Very engaging. There is plenty of fine artwork and architecture to admire. A welcome change, compared to large English churches -...More

I've seen many cathedrals, especially gothic ones and including many of them in France, but the one in Amiens is now number one in my personal ranking!

Well, it's the biggest. The choirs in Beauvais are higher, but this church has bigger area and could contain more people. Beautiful too with John Baptiste relic and also other less important memorabilia. Worth a visit both inside and outside.

There is a tour that takes you up there and you need to check with the ticket office and shop to the immediate left of the Cathedral. Google Amiens cathedral Tours for more. Don't miss it.
