Special flat bottomed boats, a bit like gondolas but more utilitarian, carry you through the 2000 year old canals of the Hortillonages. People have homes on some of these plots, some grow crops, some have beautiful gardens, some are overgrown. But it's a great place...More

No better way to spend an hour and just €6 than to float round these charming waterways and their gardens. Utterly delightful.

Les Hortillonnages d'Amiens are a fantastic place to relax and enjoy a calm atmosphere. The small channels are very characteristic!

A very tranquil spot right next to the city. Very peaceful, a nice experience and the guides are just hilarious and knowledgeable at the same time. Very recommendable to spend two hours.

Was slightly disappointed by the state of some of the gardens (overgrown and untidy), but the 45 minute boat trip is worth the effort.

I did not see any other dogs on the day that my wife and I went on the trip. To be honest I would be surprised if pets were allowed however well behaved. If you can get your question translated into French then you could... More
