When you step inside Beauvais Cathedral you can't help but have your sight drawn upwards and upwards and upwards. Soaring windows reach up to the heavens. It is just beautiful. The Cathedral is the tallest in France, although not the biggest. Throughout the Cathedral are...More

If you are unprepared for what you will see, Beauvais Cathedral comes as a shock. It comprises a choir of enormous proportions but no nave – as a result of overambitious plans and subsequent building collapses which, together with the cost, put off any idea...More

Wow! Make sure to go around the cathedral to see the damage done by WWII. Also visit the Museum of Oise. They have some great Couture pieces.

Very unusual height to the nave and interesting stained glass. Exterior is ornate and striking to the eye. Historical clock is part of the separate (paid for) tour. Nice square around the cathedral with cafe's and restaurants close.

Beauvais cathedral is famous for having the highest nave in the world and the height inside is indeed impressive. Watch where you sit though because birds als love flying around inside the church, resulting in dirty chairs. The stained glass windows are beautiful and there...More

We visited here, all six of us. It was peaceful despite areas undergoing restoration. The building is steeped in history and remains a sacred space. There is a clock there too, but unfortunately we didn’t have the time to visit it as it seemed to...More
