Well with a visit you you’ve never seen ripe being made. Lovely building too! It’s is 375 meters long but now not all open to the public as it’s a shared property. Love cafe on site too.

I highly recommend spending some time here at the old royal rope factory. 1. Beautiful building 2. Amazing setting 3. Cafe/restaurant on site 4. Awesome gardens 5. Children amusements 6. Reasonable entrance fee €10 A real nice way to spend a decent amount of time.

Lots of information and live demonstrations make it very informative. But for the size of the building it all seems squashed into one end, which makes it feel a bit cramped.

Fascinating, albeit short visit in about 25% of the building. Nothing like its counterpart at Chatham Royal Dockyard though.

Fabulous experience. Learnt a tremendous amount regarding ropes. Good for a rainy day. The surrounds and the buildings were stunning.

Had expected more only due to reviews on trip advisor- thought we'd be in for more of an interesting visit- we weren't offered English audio just a booklet in English but found it in in engaging and basically just a museum about rope.
