If you want to see a nice view of one of the "callanques", this is a good way of getting there. Otherwise just keep your money in your pocket. The rest of the trip will give you a tour of the shops and supermarket, and...More

We didn’t expect much from the little train ride and we didn’t get much! It was something to do on an afternoon in cassis. But we saw more than just walking around.

We did this on a whim just to kill some time and didn't realize that it went up to the first callonque. It was a great view and we had enough time to take a few photos. The tour itself was nothing special, it was...More

The train journey meanders through the streets of Cassis with a commentary in French and English. Half way around the circuit the train stops for 15 mins at one of the clanaques which gives you enough time to take a quick look. The train is...More

The trip is OK, but a greater part of the trip you are passing through residential areas. The trains makes one stop at a pear to make photoes. The audio guide was a bit out of sync with the driver, so information given was not...More

We took the little train from the out of town car park to the centre of the village to avoid the rather arduous walk down (and back up) the steep hill between the two. It gives you a great chance to see a bit more...More

This typical tourist train takes you round the town and gives French and English commentary, about how this place was a Roman settlement and still has their influence. Then it heads along the coast to the Clancles end point and stops against the quayside with...More

The top end of Cassis is up a rather steep hill so take the train and the opportunity to see a bit of the rest of the town. It goes to the nearest calanque and you get off for 10 minutes to have a stroll...More

This is the best way to see Cassis as it is a little town with no parking. You park on the outskirts of the town and get this reasonable bus/train to take you around and drop you off and return you to your own transport.

Bonjour Kate, There is parking at Parking Mimosas on Avenue Augustin Isnard. The train is 5 mins walk from there. Be aware that the parking is not very big, but should be ok out of season.

Hi, The first train is 11:15 a.m. This is what I've copied from the website - please note they seem a bit confused regarding their low season dates! Guided tour of 40 minutes to discover the history of Cassis vestiges... More
