Must do if you are in Cassis. The road is very narrow in places to get to the numerous viewing points, but it's well worth the effort as the views are spectacular. Thoroughly recommended - breathtaking!!!!

Wow, what a view. As the highest cliff/sea point of France, 4th in Europe, Cape Canaille does offer you breath taking view of the Mediterranean Sea and the Port of Cassis. The drive to get up here is tricky, I went with a small mini van, and big tour bus share the road. But once you get up there it will be worth it. Climbers heaven.

Magnificent views but limited parking if driving. If walking - it is quite a hike up the hill and not for the unfit.

What a beautiful spot high above Cassis! Be very careful though - there is nothing protecting anyone from slipping off the edge! We saw people repelling down when we were there - I can't imagine! Lovely spot :)

The view here is breathtaking, we came here at 6pm (August) and the view, the fresh air was great. It is best if you come here with your flycam. It is dangerous if you stand on the ledge to take photo (or selfie) so please beware

A stunning viewpoint at the top of the cliffs, 394 metres high (the highest sea cliffs in France), situated at the top of a narrow winding road between Cassis and La Ciotat.
The view on a clear day is unbelievable, looking down towards Cassis, over a turquoise sea dotted with dozens of boats.
Don't miss it - a real Kodak moment!

Awesome place. A beautiful walk up the ridges and the view down is simply out of the World. The Cape has such fantastic vantage points of the sea view that each of them is breathtaking. Not to miss place.

We had a shore excursion from the port of Toulon. Our guide took us there for our first stop before the crowds hit. The view was breathtaking and I can't imagine visiting the area without stopping by. If you have an hour or two take a boat tour of the Calanques in Cassis.

How much is a taxi ride from the port to Cap Canaille ?
Charne T
Sunshine Coast, Australia87 contributions
It all depends, if you want to go to the first decent lookout, have a quick look and head back to town , then probably €25 or maybe more. If you want to go further in the taxi and explore further along the cliff, then it will be more. You can walk up which makes it a full day’s excursion (take plenty of water). But don’t miss it, some of the taxi drivers are negotiable and you can organise what you want to do before hand. Sometimes the road Rue Des Cretes, is closed due to high winds, heat, or fires. Ask at the info centre at the Port.

peut on faire l’excursion avec un bébé de 8 mois?

à mon avis, avec un bébé, le mieux est de se rendre en voiture au CAP CANAILLE et simplement d'admirer le paysage en divers endroits avec la poussette
