It can be done with a good pair of grippy sandals. Would not recommend flip flops.

The sentier littoral is very well maintained from St Clair to Le Lavandou harbour and not very taxing if the weather is good. It cuts out some steep climbs which are needed if you follow the road or cycle path. An enjoyable stroll.
