My wife and I were blown away by the profusion of flamingos, egrets, herons, storks, avocets (I think) and other birds at this expansive site -- not to mention an abundance of nutria.

Easily found on the main road to Saintes-Maries with parking areas on either side of the main gate. Definitely for nature lovers, this is a very well preserved piece of typical Camargue hosting lots of birds, including the famous flamingoes up close. Start with the short walk and look out for the stork on its enormous nest. Also the swiming... More

Visited le Parc Ornithologique on twice last year in early May. The park is certainly well worth a visit, would recommend it to anybody visiting the area.

Very nice natural nature reserve with lots and lots of pink flamingos. One gets to see otters being very nonchalant.

We visited hoping to see flamingoes and we weren't disappointed - there were hundreds of them in a number of different lakes int he park. There is plenty of free parking off the main road both north and south of the entrance. Inside the park, there are two recommended walking routes, a long one and a short one. The short... More

The wildlife park is easy to reach from the main road in the heart of Camargue. Even though we visited in December the amount of flamingoes was overwhelming and the number of visitors low. It's a reasonably large park with two different marked routes to cover in terms of length. You can get a close glimpse of almost all stationing... More

This is a great place to visit, especially in December when the flamingos are mating. The park is very well maintained and the information "posters" are very helpful.

The drive from Avignon to this park was truly well with the time and trouble. The views of the flamengos were breathtaking. We spent a few hours just wondering around at tall the various places that had the birds. A natural beauty for the area in the Camargue.

We stumbled on this place while driving back from Aigues-Mortes to Avignon. This was not on plan but since we had sighted very little storks during the day at salt pans and boat rides, we though we might chance upon this bird park! We reached there around 5:30 PM and the gate closes at 7PM, however the guy at the... More

We visited many sights for bird watching but never have the feeling to be so clos to the wild birds. Flamingos are everywhere within 20, 30 meter distance. Great blue heron, little egret and the highlight for us was seeing a Nutria for the first time with baby. We like to thank the team for their effort keeping this place... More
