Lovely spot to go for a swim in the nature. There are two parking spots, one to go to the swim area and the other to walk above the waterfall.

Beautiful Gorge with a great road to cycle up and down. Narrow roadin places and watch out for occasional fallen rocks.

I have been here many times. It's the place the locals go to sun and splash in the stream and slide down the natural water slides. The historic old bridge adds a lot of charm. Nice place to picnic and spend an afternoon!

Well worth a drive through and if you have time park and walk a bit along the path ways. Some fantastic scenery.

Great scenery and part of Natura 2000. It's a marvelous scenery for about 8 km or so. Plenty of opportunities to cool down on the below Méouge. On busy summer days parking spaces at the points where one can walk to the river are though not plenty. Can be interesting drive on the small road, but if you have some experience (and rather not a SUV 😁) you should be fine.

Great place for a hot afternoon. While the main gorge can get crowded there are quieter spots further up the canyon. The water was nice colour, probably due the lack of rain. We also had great fun fossil hunting along the walls.

The clear azure water, the boulders shaped by the force of the cascading water, the ancient Roman bridge; the gorge is undeniably beautiful. But if you are also after serenity, don't expect to find it here, at least, not through the warmer months. We went in the middle of the summer holidays on a hot day. We arrived early and had the gorge almost to ourselves. We were able to have a good explore while it was calm and quiet, then we headed further down stream to try and avoid the crowds that we knew would be coming. We had a wonderful few hours swimming with the kids, reading and relaxing, but decided to leave just after lunch as it got too busy for us, even down stream where we were. I highly recommend a visit, even with the crowds of people, just get in early if you want to see it without all the holiday goers and to find a good spot!

I am lucky enough to visit the gorges every summer. If you go to Laragne's tourism office you can grab a map of the best hikes around the gorges. Some can get a bit technical and you will need good hiking shoes. The area closest to the Roman bridge is gorgeous:) with several swimming pools. Utterly packed in the summer. You can walk along the river and get to some better spots. Parking can get tricky if you arrive late in the day during the summer. There are also many robberies so beware and do not leave goods unattended.

We left from Antonaves. We quickly enter the gorges and first reach the Roman bridge. We continue to the next footbridge to cross the Méouge. We go back to the pretty village of Pomet before going down and crossing the Roman bridge.

The walk is done in 2 to 3 hours.
The setting is magnificent.
