So we finally decide to go and see if it's worth the money ($23 adult, $12 kids) Turns out it was! We came early enough to see the feedings to have a picnic and enjoy ourselves. The little sprinkle of rain couldn't dampen the spirits. Fun to see a lot of the animals awake you normally see sleeping in other... More

What a marvelous surprise! We were on a cruise ship and had wondered what we would do in Burnie. When the shuttle brought us to the Maker's workshop (basically a tourist welcome center), we were sold on the intimate encounters promised by Wings Wildlife Park--and they totally exceeded our expectations! We had to wait a while as they tried to... More

We found this place, which is a bit out of the way on one of our loopy travels around the back country. What a delightful spot. Friendly staff, natural settings for the animals and even baby Wombats and Tassie Devil. Wish we had more time as this is a very good example of a nature reserve.

Kids enjoyed feeding the goats and wallabies. Watching the devil siblings being fed was a great experience. The setting here is great and they do rehabilitate injured wildlife.

The staff is all so friendly and the guides are extremely knowledgeable. We decided to upgrade to the personalized tour and we were very happy that we did. Small tour group, the opportunity to touch and feed animals, and be able to ask any questions that came up made it very special! A highlight of our time in Australia!

The staff were very friendly and helpful, happy to share their knowledge and answer any questions. Feeding time for the Tasmanian Devils was amazing to watch. They are doing a great job with their breeding of the devils. They have a host of other animals as well. The Park is huge we spent most of the day there. They also... More

This place was one fun excursion! Lots of animals, all of them close up. This is the first time I've seen lots of Tasmanian devils interacting. And the kangaroo enclosure was really a great opportunity to get up close and personal. Note that there are some challenging hills for those who are mobility challenged, even in motorized wheelchairs.

This was one of the highlights of our cruise! We had a hands on opportunity with Koala, Tasmanian Devil, Kangaroos! Interesting narration from the workers and a really fun time.

The drive to the destination is lovely, through agricultural and forestry places with stunning landscapes. Upon arrival we were met and welcomed. Visiting the park is an individual experience where you don't walk in groups but may wander to the exhibits that you are most interested in. The day we were there, there were heaps of staff and volunteers on... More
